During Muscle-Shortening Phase
In Movement
• Thrusting the knees up by tilting the pelvis anteriorly and arching the back, causing lower back strain. • Pressing the lower back to the back of the machine by mightily tightening the abdomen to prevent the pelvis from tilting anteriorly and prevent the lower back from extending.
In Stillness
• Rocking the head. • Keeping the head steady.
During Muscle-Lengthening Phase
In Movement
• Lowering the legs too quickly. • Lowering the legs moderately slowly.
• Bending the knees. • Keeping the legs straight.
